HOW SECOND BUTTON CAME TO BE.

You can blame it on chest hair. Are we right? The way most shirts are designed, you're either forced to flaunt your patch or you're buttoning your shirt up to your chin to cover it. Unacceptable. After years of trying on shirts that just didn't work – solely because of an inferior placement of the second button – we were fed up.

And in our quest for the perfect masculine neckline, we quickly realized there are a whole hell of a lot of things we would like to change about shirts. Like collar style, cuff style, buttons, pockets, liners, etc. for starters. So, we built company that allows us to personalize shirts to fit both our torsos and our tastes.

Introducing Second Button, supplying the world's discriminating men with stylish, made-to-measure custom shirts. Our mission: to assure the fit is always as good as the look.

WHAT MAKES SECOND A FIRST.

Almost all custom shirt manufactures have catered exclusively to the more formal business crowd. As a result, their styles and fabrics tend to be, well...pretty conservative. We're here to bring a wider, more accessible range of options to the custom shirt conversation. Something you can wear both in the office and out at night.

What's more, our professional designer creates all of our shirt styles, pockets, collars -- everything. So you know your garment isn't some cookie-cutter template any joe can buy off the rack. Each Second Button shirt you customize is truly your own. The perfect fit and style is easily achievable with our range of inspired designs.

WHAT'S INSIDE OUR SHIRTS.

All of our fabrics are 100% cotton and range in thread-counts from 80 to 155. Our lower thread counts are reserved for the military and utility shirts that need more of a structured look. And we do not offer over 155 thread count because those fabrics wrinkle too easily. We're all about looking good without all the upkeep.

We've also invested a lot in our buttons. We offer a wide range of them, from casual to more formal. And yes, all of our buttons are lead-free and have been treated with a break-resistant resin to reduce chipping and breaking.

And of course, all of our shirts are handmade to your specifications.
